Rotarian of the Month
Ted Wolf

Ted joined Rotary in 2013 following a successful career as a small business owner.  He immediately became active, participating in all club service projects and social events.  He eagerly participates in the club’s annual holiday food drive and shopping event for disadvantaged youth, the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle Party fundraiser and the Dick’s Open service project.

Ted quickly joined the club leadership ranks.  He constantly is looking for ways to expand the scope of existing events and willing to explore new initiatives.  He is serving as club president this year.  Under his leadership the club, in collaboration with the United Way of Broome County launched the inaugural Halloween Costume Exchange Party, an event that allowed low income families the opportunity to get gently used costume for their children.

Ted is a second-generation Rotarian.  His father, Charlie Wolf, was a member of the Vestal Rotary Club.  Ted’s rotary sponsor is past District Governor, Richard Matsushima.  In an ironic twist of fate, Richard’s sponsor was Ted father Charlie!   During Ted’s time as a Rotarian he has attended two Rotary International Conventions; Seoul, South Korea in 2016 and Atlanta in 2017.  He plans on attending this year’s convention in Toronto.   He values the training opportunities the conventions provide to develop and grow as a Rotarian.
