Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club “GIVES IT UP!”
The Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club has always been youth-focused when it comes to their charitable giving. This year, seven (7) of their members formed a “Shavee” team and participated in the March 10th St. Baldrick’s Foundation annual fundraiser at the Red Jug Pub in Cortland.
The sole purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. Participants can choose to shave their heads, all or part of their facial hair, or by gathering donations from family and friends to support this worthy cause. This year’s event raised approximately $30,000 (donations are still being accepted), and the Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club Team surpassed their $500 goal, bringing in nearly $900, simply by “GIVING IT UP”.
